Jonathan Miller interviews Catholic theologian Denys Turner (currently at Yale). Miller and Turner discuss the importance of asking the right questions in the dispute between atheism and theism, creation as gift, and the relationship between philosophical inquiry and faith. This interview was filmed for the making of Miller’s BBC documentary, Atheism: A Rough History of Disbelief. The interview did not make it into the final documentary, unfortunately, but was included in a subsequent production called, The Atheism Tapes. The interview is in three parts:

Part One

Part Two

Part Three
